Saan kayo?

Yesterday, August 4, 2012, we were at EDSA Shrine. We joined the Prayer Power Rally to fight against the RH Bill. We were there. We made a stand. As young people, we are not indifferent. Instead, we believe that we can make a difference. We are fighting for life, for the Filipino family and the Filipino people. We are not losing hope on morality which is what will lead us to the best life ever.

Last year, I sponsored Senate Bill No.2865, otherwise known as the Reproductive Health Bill. It went through the process – we had hearings, then we made our committee report , which embodies SB 2865. Since then, there have been many questions raised by the public and rightly so, given that intelligent debate and discourse are essential in crafting the best version of any bill.

  5. For all those who are against this Bill, here are some of the facts about Pinas:
-this country is third-world poor and the government has a huge debt still to be paid. Total debt is 4.42 trillion pesos as of 2009
-this country has one of the highest birth rate in the world
-this country has the highest teen-age pregnancy among the ASEAN countries. It also has one of the highest maternal deaths in the world due to unplanned pregnancy
-there are more than 4 million OFW all around the world because they can’t find a job or a decent paying job in the country
-if you think it is so crowded everywhere you go on this country now, in a few years the population of this country will reach one hundred million
    - the present population of this country is over 92 million, compare that with Australia’s 22 million, and the whole of the Philippines can fit in only one province of Australia
    - it is very obvious to every Filipino the problem of over population. It is all around us. The overcrowding, the garbage, pollution and environmental degradation, the high crime, the shanty homes and squatters everywhere, the homeless on our streets and under the bridges , the high unemployment and underemployment, the high unplanned pregnancy and home-made abortions, hunger, poverty, misery, suffering…….you have blind not to see this things.

-another fact: this Bill is against abortion.

  6. @NEIL YOU SAID IT SO WELL. hindi lahat may takot sa dios. hindi lahat responsable. at hindi rin lahat ng pilipino ay sumasang-ayon sa RHBILL. e bakit ipagduduldulan ito kung ayaw ng lahat? kapag ba naisabatas na yang RHBILL na yan, magiging responsable na ba yung mga tao? kaloka. hindi. ang responsable ay yung nagpaplano ng mabuti. hindi yung kantot ng kanto tapos ayaw magkaanak. hindi lang tayo mga hayop bakla! tao tao-may isip tayo at dapat gamitin ang isp para maging rsponsable.

  7. AGREE AKETCH DUN SA ANONYMOUS NA BAKLUSH NA ANTI RHBILL. HINDI NA ITO KAILANGANG ISABATAS DAHIL AVAILABLE NAMAN OVER THE COUNTER SA MGA DRUGSTORES/CONVENIENT STORES ANG MGA CONTRACEPTIVES. KUNG GUSTONG GUMAMIT NG CONTRACEPTIVES NG MAG-ASAWA, E DI SILA NA LANG ANG BUMILI. AT HWAG ANG GOBYERNO(GAMIT ANG BWIS NA IBINAYAD NG TAONG BAYAN) ANG BUMILI NITO PARA SA TAO) PAGMUMULAN PA YAN NG PANIBAGONG KORUPSYON. KUNG ANG ADHIKAIN NG GOBYERNO AY ANG PAGSUGPO SA KAHIRAPAN, SUGPUIN ANG KORUPSION. KAHIT PA GAANO TAYO KAKONTI KUNG MAY MGA CORUPT, LAHGING MAY MAHIRAP! PARAMIHIN ANG TRABAHO.MASISIPAG ANG MGA PINOY. PERO KAHIT NA MASIPAG KUNG WALANG MAPAPASUKANG TRABAHO,MANANATILING MAHIRAP YAN. SIGURADUHIN ANG TAPAT NA PAGPAPATAKBO NG MGA NASA GOBYENRO. DI BA ITONG DAAN MNA MATUWID NAMAN ANG IPINANGAKO NI PNOY? ITO ANG DAPAT NA ATUPAGIN. ILAAN ANG PONDO HINDI SA MGA CONTRACEPTIVES(DI NAMAN NAKAKAIN YAN).GAMITIN YAN SA PAGPAPARAMI NG TRABAHO AT SA EDUKASYON.
    ---DITO NAGTATAPOS ANG DRAMA KO---

    NAGMAMAHAL,
    VAKLITANG MAKABAYAN.

  8. kanina, we had an event sa office. we fed the undernourished students of alabang elem school. that ptroject will go on for 6 months, grabe tong mga bata, ang gobyerno pala ang tawag sa kanila eh "severely wasted". so meron ding "moderately wasted", etc. the term is nakakarimarim diba? and this is all because of poverty. ang poverty, sanhi ng walang trabaho ang mga magulang pero anak ng anak. hindi lang dahil sa corrupt ang gobyerno, or tamad ang pinoy. karamihan sa mga magulang ng mga batang ito, mga walang trabaho dahil walng pinag-aralan. kelangan natin ang rh bill para me magsasabi sa mga mahihirap na tao na "hoy limitado ka lang kasi mahirap ka at hindi mo kaya!". this feeding program is our company's 3rd year. the first time i joined, i had to go back to the car and cry, sobrang naawa ako sa kalagayan ng mga bata. you have to be with these kids to know what poverty feels like. we NEED the rh bill.

  12. Hay first time to comment, those who are pro RH bill don't understand the bill and what is inside the bill. Ibig sabihin 10 or 11 years old pa Lang tuturuan na ng about sa sex, meaning I pro promote na ok Lang makipagsex ka kahit kanino basta mag cocondom ka, basta hindi ka mabubuntis meaning babaguhin na ang ideolohiya na ang batang pinoy na we can have sex with anyone as long as we are safe parang aso.
