Nagkumahog

After 8 months, nagbonding ulit kami ni Ateh Paul. I think it was the longest period na hindi kami nagkita in person. We got busy sa life eh. Ang mahalaga, we are still friends at hindi na mabubura 'yon. PAK!

We wanted to watch a movie - Panti Sisters or Jowable. Dahil hindi ako fan ng Vincentiments series sa Facebook, we chose the former.

The Panti Sisters (2019)
Black Sheep, Idea First, Quantum Films
Directed by Jun Robles Lana
Starring Paolo Ballesteros, Christian Bables and Martin Del Rosario

In the end, wala sa kanila ang nagkaanak.

I cannot help but compare it sa Die Beautiful na tinuturing kong masterpiece. Medyo na-off ako sa simula. Then the plot na dapat nilang bigyan ng apo ang tatay nila for the sake of money is a concept na very 80s or 90s. Marami din namang highlights ang movie katulad na nais nila i-educate ang sitwasyon ng LGBT community sa Pinas especially the relationship with God and same-sex marriage. It could have been more impactful kung hindi na sila gumamit ng salitang "bakla" which is somehow, a generic term for gays, bis and trans women in our country. It's just not clear to me kung trans woman si Samuel at gay si Gabbi, or parehong gay.

The most funny part of the movie was when Gabbi tried to have sex with Joy. Ang lakas ng tawa ng mga tao. Ang galing umarte ni Paolo! Eye candies naman ang mga pinsan nila played by Luis Hontiveros, Addy Raj and Mark McMahon. Magwawater kayo sa swimming pool at volleyball scenes nila. May pabakat si direk. CHAR!

I also have to commend the best actors and actresses in the movie. Very relatable! Although Martin Del Rosario bagged the Best Actor award, may laban din sina Paolo at Christian. Lahat sila magaling!

Wit ko man nagustuhan sa simula at may ibang unnecessary scenes in my opinion, lumabas ako ng sinehan na natuwa't naaliw. It's a feel-good movie!
