Duplikado

Isang water-water na araw, mga ateng! Kumusta kayo? Medyo lumalamig na ang panahon dahil sa ulan. Salamat naman at patapos na ang free trial ng impyerno. KALOKA! Tulad ng dati, ingat pa rin tayo sa tuwing lumalabas lalo na't hindi naman bumababa sa limang libo ang mga bagong kaso ng COVID-19 kada araw. Nag-plateau na daw tayo sa lagay na 'yan huh! Face mask, face shield, social distancing at alcohol pa rin ang panangga natin sa sakit kaya palaging gamitin o gawin.

Matagal na rin simula noong huli tayong mag-post tungkol sa mga babasahin na humubog sa ating pagkatao. Isa sa mga paborito niyo ang Chika Chika na magpasa-hanggang ngayon ay binibisita pa rin. As you know, pinamanahan tayo ng dalawa sa ating mga ateng at ito ay ating inaalagaan.

Ilan sa inyo ay nagkomento o nagpadala ng email at nagtatanong kung ibebenta ko ba ang mga ito. To be honest, I was not sure if I'm going to sell it because it was given to me. I feel na hindi ko dapat pagkakitaan ang isang bagay na hindi ko naman pinagpaguran. But its been years and although I'm storing it on a safe place, the quality is not as it used to be. Karamihan sa mga ito ay printed more than 20 years ago. My plan is to restore it and make a PDF copy for archiving dahil parte ito ng kasaysayan ng Pinoy LGBTQIA+ community. Dapat mapag-aralan at ma-enjoy ng mga susunod na henerasyon. I just need to find the time and energy dahil hindi biro ang mag-digitize ng physical media. I'm also looking for a bigger scanner that can scan at least 11 x 13 inches or newsprint size. Do you know where we can find one tapos mura lang? Any leads will be much appreciated. 'Yung mga usual na flatbed scanners kasi na available in the market are not enough to scan the entire page. Parang pinakamalaki na yata 'yung kasya ang long bond paper. 

So here's the pasavogue part, I have come to a decision to sell my personal copies of Chika Chika, Extra Extra and other Pinoy magazines. Ito ay mga duplikado which means meron pa rin tayong kopya na pwedeng i-scan once na may scanner tayo. Unahan ko na kayo mga ateng at medyo pricey ang bentahan natin because part of the proceeds will go to a chosen charity that supports our community. Some charities are struggling due to the global pandemic and I think this is the perfect time for us to help.
